Our Story
Bay Pool Services began in 1970, founded by Don Roddick with a simple promise: deliver reliable, professional pool care—without the runaround. Over the years, we've evolved but never lost sight of our original vision.
Our Timeline:
1970 – Founded by Don Roddick in Pacific Grove
1990s – Passed to Don's daughter and son-in-law, continuing the family tradition
2023 – David takes ownership, committed to maintaining the legacy of quality and trust
Today, what started as a small pool service route has grown into a trusted name in pool maintenance, repairs, and specialty services throughout the Monterey Peninsula.
The original Bay Pool Services has been around for more than 55 years and has changed hands a few times. Today the company, Bay Pool Services LLC, is owned and run by David Scher, holds California contractor license #1122549, and is an authorized Pentair & Raypak warranty station.
